CALDER COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT · TABLETOP EXERCISE PROGRAM

Tabletop drills for the emergencies everyone wonders about.

Every Dry Run drops you into a scenario you have pictured at least once, gives you four seconds to choose, and then takes it to the table. The county is fiction. The procedures are real, and every one has a source.

Your Elevator Is Falling. Jump or Lie Down?

· 6:12

Fourteenth floor. The car drops one floor and stops. Three decisions before the tone: jump or lie down, climb out or stay, the hatch or the alarm.

How a dry run works

  1. 01 · THE INJECT

    Four seconds.

You see what the camera sees. Two choices, one countdown, then the tone. Most people pick what they saw in a movie.

  2. 02 · THE TABLE

    Let's go to the table.

Your choice gets replayed on the felt with your pawn. Then the procedure, with the source and year on the card.

  3. 03 · THE SLIP

    Keep your slip.

Every run ends with a printed slip: your answer string and a checksum. Verify it here. Copies are common. Slips are not.
